What a birth chart shows
A birth chart is a snapshot of the sky at the exact time and place you were born. Each planet sits in a sign and a house: the sign colours how it expresses itself, the house tells in which area of life it acts.
The ascendant, the sign rising on the horizon, is the doorway to the personality; it depends on the time and place of birth, hence the need to know them. Opora uses whole-sign houses, the oldest and clearest method.
- The Sun: drive, deep identity.
- The Moon: needs, emotional security.
- The ascendant: how you meet the world.
A symbolic, introspective reading: not fortune-telling, not hard science.
